Access Log Manager
Learn more about the Access Log Manager along with the details that you will find within it.
An access log is a comprehensive list of all the files which were accessed by the guests of a certain site. Every file which was requested for some reason shall be listed, so if you have just one webpage with 3 embedded graphics, one video and one embedded text file, for instance, the access log shall contain a total of six entries - one for every of the 6 files that were accessed when the website visitor opened the page. A log normally contains the file name and path, the date, in addition to the visitor’s Operating System, browser and IP address. Sometimes you could also find the referrer websites that sent the visitors to your website. The info that an access log file contains is in human-readable plain text format. It could be processed by special software on a PC and used to write reports on the overall performance of a website, independent of the web statistics that your server may have produced.

Access Log Manager in Cloud Web Hosting
Our in-house built Hepsia CP features a section focused on various logs and the access logs are one of them. As soon as you sign in to your
cloud web hosting account and go to this section, you will find a list of all the
domain names and subdomains that you have. All it takes to permit the generation of access logs is to press a button which will be available next to each domain/subdomain. When the option is active, you will see a download link and also the file size so far, so you will be able to save the file to your personal computer and look at it or process it with some program. Enabling or disabling the logs takes effect instantaneously, so if you don't need one, you can stop it with just a click from the very same section of the Control Panel. You shall still be able to access the already generated content by clicking on the Download link.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Our advanced website hosting platform will create access logs for each website hosted within a
semi-dedicated server account, as long as this function is activated. All domain names and subdomains that you have shall be listed within the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, which we supply with all of the accounts, so if you want our system to start generating logs for any of them, you should simply click on the compact button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and change the default Off option to On. You could disable this function whenever you want by following the exact same steps. You will find a Download link for every single log in the same section of the Control Panel, so you may save the content produced by our system in .txt format with simply a click. An existing log file can be downloaded even after the option has been disabled, so you'll still be able to check out the data that has already been generated.
